Office for mac templates. Templates is a Mac OS X Service for the Finder, allowing a user to make any system object a template, with the ability to quickly and easily create new instances of that object based on this template. Templates make it easier to create new documents in your word processing program. Microsoft Word comes with many templates, but sometimes you need a different template from the defaults. Understand how to add templates in Microsoft Word for Windows or Mac to get the most out of your word processing program. The customize colors function doesn't work in this version. It appears like it works when I select Colors on the Slide Master tab, then select Customize Colors. But after changing a color and clicking OK, the color in the scheme I'm working on does not change. The only workaround I can find is opening the XML file and editing the hex codes. Extremely tedious to try out different color schemes! I'd love to see if there are any workarounds until Microsoft corrects this. (And I hope they do! They have also pulled the utility that used to allow you to change the XML theme files.). The Reuse slides issue is a problem. The workaround is to rely on good old copy and paste between presentations to move only selected slides. I'm not sure what you mean about fonts under the Design tab. That tab mainly just displays themes. Are you trying to add a font theme? Checked with Microsoft support this morning. The 'invert' and many other 'picture effects' found in PowerPoint for Mac 2008 are no longer present in the 2011 version (they did not exist in the Windows version of the program, so PPT 2011 for Mac is now more like its Windows version). In OS X, you have to create those with TextEdit (in Plain Text mode) or other text editor. Here's a sample file: Name the file with the name you want to display as the theme title in PowerPoint, with a.xml ending. ![]() The font name should be as it appears in the PowerPoint font list. For 'family' fonts (which are what you get with PowerPoint's included fonts), you can only set the base font, not the weight or whether it's italic. As an example, you can't set Calibri Bold or Italic, but Calibri Light is a separate font family, so you can spec Calibri Light in a font theme. The ea line is for East Asian fonts (Chinese or Japanese) and the cs entry is for Complex Scripts, like Thai or Arabic. You can leave them blank or omit them if your theme is not supporting other alphabets. Brandwares - Advanced Office template services to the graphic design industry and select corporations.
